SALT Dental Partners Celebrates National Volunteer Month
Whether the dental or orthodontic practice is small or large, has multiple locations or one, the mission is the same – provide the best care for patients and support and give back to the community. SALT Dental Partners partners are proud to commit to volunteer opportunities and sponsor events and charities in the communities in which they reside. April is National Volunteer Month, and we could think of no better time than now to highlight what just a few of the SALT dental practices have been up to over the last year.
SALT in Action
Timber Kids Dentistry
It’s been just under one year since the Timber Kids Dentistry team volunteered at Sanctuary One at Double Oak Farm. This farm, located in Jacksonville, Oregon, is a special place that fosters sustainability and the humane treatment of all animals. Timber Kids staff helped out by doing some landscaping and spending time caring for the farm animals. You can read more about their time at Sanctuary One in their blog.
Every year, Timber Kids Dentistry staff gives back to the children of their community during Boatnik – an annual festival held in Grants Pass, Oregon for the last 60 years.
Cascadia Kids Dentistry
Being active in the community certainly keeps the dentists and staff at Cascadia Kids Dentistry busy! From helping sponsor the annual Red, White, and BOOM celebration in Snoqualmie and volunteering with the Issaquah Little League to participating in and donating to local festivals like the Salmon Festival and Parkadilly – this team really knows how to love on a community!
DaBell & Paventy
They may not always look the part – but Goose and Maverick are dedicated to giving back and supporting their patients and encouraging healthy habits. This past Halloween, Dr. DaBell and Dr. Paventy dressed up as Top Gun during the Candy Buy-Back event. Kids can bring in their Halloween candy and trade it in for cold, hard cash!
You can check out how this works and see some great pictures from DaBell & Paventy, along with all of the other SALT practices that participated in the 2022 Candy Buy-Back.
You may have also seen the DaBell & Paventy team at the most recent middle school career fair – read about it more here.
Howell Orthodontics
Heave! Howell Orthodontics in Meridian and Boise, Idaho give back by supporting the Meridian High School Warriors Rugby Team. By encouraging student athletes, the orthodontists at Howell believe this to be just another way to help teens stay healthy (along with routine dental and ortho visits, of course).
Howell, along with DaBell & Paventy, also participate in ‘My Teacher ROCKS’ – a special program designed to honor local teachers that, well, rock! Students can nominate their teachers on the Howell website or DaBell & Paventy website and give them the recognition they deserve.
Giving Back One Dental Practice at a Time
There were so many volunteer opportunities that our SALT partners were able to be a part of over the last year that we cannot possibly list them all. We want to give a special shout out to all of these practices and their teams for their dedication to their communities.
